Heat wave to continue New Delhi, April 27 Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. Temperature: The maximum temperatures fell in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere. They were markedly above normal in Uttaranchal, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajastan and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 44.9° C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan). Forecast valid until the morning of April 29: Weather will be mainly dry in the region.
