New Delhi, April 27
Heat wave conditions are prevailing in isolated pockets of Rajasthan, Punjab Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi. It is likely to continue in some parts of Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana and in some parts of Uttar Pradesh during the next two days. 

Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperature: The maximum temperatures fell in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere. They were markedly above normal in Uttaranchal, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajastan and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 44.9° C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 29: Weather will be mainly dry in the region. There will be a gradual rise in the day temperature.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Mainly dry weather.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 29: Heat wave conditions are prevailing in isolated pockets of Delhi. Mainly clear sky. The maximum temperature will be arouned 41° C.
