SHO suspended in ‘fake’ certificate case

The UT inspector-general of police (IGP) today placed under suspension inspector Ram Gopal, the SHO of the Sector 3 police station, and ordered a departmental inquiry in connection with the alleged fake Yoga certificate submitted by him for promotion.

Insurance firm asked to pay Rs one lakh

The State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission asked the National Insurance Company to pay Rs one lakh as damages to a resident of Manimajra, here today. The insurance firm was also directed to pay Rs 90,000 as compensation.
