Rights body official meets Murugan

Vellore, April 19
Nearly a month after the well-publicised meeting Priyanka Vadra had with Nalini, who is serving a life term in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, an official of the Human Rights Commission (HRC) met Nalini’s husband, Murugan, and four others convicted in the case and conducted an “inquiry”.

According to jail officials, the HRC official Kannadasan met Murugan, Santhan, Perarivalan, Jayakumar, Robert Payas and Ravichandran , all convicted in the case, on April 17 and conducted an inquiry.

However, no further details were available on the nature of inquiry conducted by the HRC official. — PTI
