PSEB penalised; told to restore connection 
Ludhiana, April 6
The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum has ordered the PSEB to restore the electric connection and pay Rs 5,000 as compensation to an aggrieved consumer. The forum president and its member Daljit Singh Bakshi also directed the PSEB authorities to refund the amount of Rs 11,162 charged from the consumer and pay Rs 1,500 as litigation cost.

Additional manager of Indian Overseas Bank R.B. Kulkarni (45) was found lying dead in a room under mysterious circumstances in the early hours today. According to information, Kulkarni, who belonged to Pune, had been living alone on the first floor of a rented accommodation.

16 families attend camp, assured treatment 
Ludhiana, April 6
All hue and cry being raised over the reported outbreak of jaundice in Kot Mangal Singh, New Madhopuri, Shimplapuri, Janta Nagar, and some other surrounding areas notwithstanding, no fresh case of jaundice has been reported from these localities. At least 36 patients, who had fallen victim to the water-borne infections in early March, were yet to recover fully.
