Power Shutdown
Power supply to Kitchlu Nagar, Dhobi Ghat, Cemetry Road, Upkar nagar, Deep Nagar, Old DMC and Dandi Swami Road, will be suspended on Friday at 9 am to 3 pm. Power supply to Isher Nagar, Guru Nanak Colony A and B,Block, Shaheed Karnail singh Nagar Village Lohara, Gurmail Nagar, sunder Nagar and Kunti Nagar etc will be suspended on Friday at 8am to 5 pm.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India's (TRAI) decision to abolish access deficit charges (ADC) of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has not gone down well with the BSNL employees, who said the move would benefit international carriers who stand to gain more than Rs 1,000 crore annually for routing international calls to India.

Farmer commits suicide over panchayat land

The Koomkalan police has booked at least 20 persons in two FIRs registered regarding an incident in which Som Nath, a farmer of Kariana village, had committed suicide and many persons were injured during a free-for-all brawl.
