India regained the Under-19 Cricket World Cup crown after eight years with a close 12-run victory over South Africa in the rain-affected final here today. This was India's second triumph in the tournament's history after they captured the crown in 2000 in Sri Lanka.

Govt to brief Parliament on N-deal

Amid continued nudging by the US to conclude the civil nuclear deal at the earliest, the government is expected to spell out its plans on the issue tomorrow in Parliament when external affairs minister Pranab Mukherjee makes a statement.

Indian shot dead in attempted robbery
New York, March 2
A 52-year-old Indian manager of a convenience store was shot dead during an attempted robbery in the US state of Virginia. Jayeshkumar Brahmbhatt, who moved to Roanoke county from India in 2001, was fatally shot on Thursday by a man who fled without taking any money, police said without providing specific details about the incident.
