Mild cane charge on migrants

Though Jagat Singh (88) is no more, he continues to see the world through the eyes he gifted to two corneal blind persons. Jagat Singh died on January 4 and his family donated his eyes to Punarjot Eye Bank of Punjab as per his wishes.

Scholarships distributed

The Senior Citizens Conclave distributed scholarships among girl students of 11 colleges and that of SDP Senior Secondary School at Nehru Siddhant Kendra yesterday. Rakesh Bharti Mittal was the chief guest. While distributing scholarships, Mittal announced a grant of Rs 5 lakh for the Senior Citizens Conclave Scholarship Scheme to be named in the memory of his father late Sat Paul
Mittal.
