In a dramatic twist to the ongoing judicial crisis, judges of the full court bench of the Supreme Court on Monday interrupted proceedings in the constitution petition of Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry while angrily reacting to a document submitted by the government whose contents betrayed information that all of them are being spied on.

Even as the Punjab Congress is crying hoarse that its supporters and leaders are facing police cases due to political vendetta of the ruling SAD-BJP combine, the Punjab government has gone ahead and formed special committees to review those cases that were registered against SAD workers to settle political scores during the previous Congress regime led by Amarinder Singh.

Suicide by Army Captain
Jammu, July 2
Army Capt Megha Razdan was found hanging in her room in the Kunjwani camp on the outskirts of Jammu city last evening. She belonged to Pathankot in Punjab where her parents reside at Ambedkar Nagar. She married just four months ago and her husband, Captain Chaitanya, a Maharashtrian, was also posted in the 113 Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Regiment (EME).

Still no connect
Chandigarh, July 2
Efforts to revive telecom services continued for the third day today as BSNL tasked more than 300 employees to restore connections that went out of order after a fire at its exchange in Sector 17 here on Saturday. While mobile phone services were restored to some extent, officials said it would take a few days before they could establish broadband connectivity.
