Jalandhar, November 20
A woman has alleged that Congress MLA Raj Kumar Gupta has grabbed her 30 Marlas at Raj Nagar and her two of the seven shops located at Shaheed Babu Labh Singh Nagar.

The woman ,Ms Renu Marwaha ,further alleged that apart from grabbing their land, two false criminal cases had also been lodged against her father Comrade Baldev Singh of Mohalla Saidan in Sultanpur Lodhi of Kapurthala district and her brothers Jaswinder and Kulwinder at the behest of Mr. Gupta.

Comrade Baldev Singh said that he had approached Mr. Gupta four years ago for the settlement of Renu’s matrimonial dispute with her husband Mukand Hari. Subsequently, Renu was sent to her husband’s house on March 7, 2002 at the behest of Mr. Gupta, he added.

Instead of mending his way, her husband developed illicit relations with a girl. He contacted Mr. Gupta who got Mukund arrested for illicit relations ,but Gupta’s son Pawan, a councillor, got him released within a few hours.

Shockingly, two false cases were registered on October 23 and November 23, two years ago ,against him and his two sons under different sections at division number five and Sadar police station for which he and his sons had to remain in jail for 23 days, he alleged. However FIRs in the both the cases were cancelled after an inquiry by DSP Gurmel Singh.

Ms Renu Marwaha, mother of two children, has alleged that Mr. Gupta and his son Pawan grabbed the 30 marlas belonging to her husband where initially Shiv Shakti Printing Press was located. The Congress MLA has also usurped two of her seven shops, she alleged.

However, Mr. Gupta denied the allegations. He claimed that he did not know either Comrade Baldev Singh or his daughter Renu Marwaha. He said that he was paying Rs. 3000 rent for the 10 marla land to Sanjiv Gupta and Rekha every month.

Meanwhile Comrade Baldev Singh said that her daughter Renu, her children Isha (5) and Sanchay (3) were fully dependent on him as they had been deprived of their resources of shelter and living means. Further, the matrimonial dispute had been widened between Renu and her husband Mukand, he added.
