Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir, fell in Himachal Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in Haryana and east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 38.9°C, recorded at Sriganganagar in Rajasthan.

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

Departure: They were above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 15.2°C, recorded at Chandigarh.
