Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Dharamsala 6, Kasol 5, Kangra 4, Bhuntar, Rampurbushahar, Sujanpurtira and Una 3 each, Berthin and Sundernagar 2 each and Bangana and Pandoh 1 each, Punjab: Nangal 3, each, Berthin and Sundernagar 2 each and Bangana and Pandoh 1 each, Punjab: Nangal 3, West Uttar Pradesh: Bareilly 2 and Uttaranchal: Uttarkashi 5, Joshimath 2 and Bausan 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 21: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, at a few places in Jammu division of Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in northeast Haryana, northeast Punjab, Kashmir division of Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
