Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in east Rajasthan and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Dadritoye and Karnal 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Dharamsala 1, East Rajasthan: Sajangarh 9, Dug 7, Pirawa 6, Aklera, Bakani, Bagidora and Sallopat 5 each, Banswara and Mount Abu 4 each, Kaserpura and Shergarh 3, each, Gangdhar and Manoharthana 2 each and Chottisadri, Loharia, Pipalkhunt and Sagwara 1 each and West Rajasthan: Jaswantpura 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 8, 2006: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in south Rajasthan and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy to very heavy rain is likely at a few places in southwest Rajasthan and at isolated places in southeast Rajasthan during the next 48 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of September 8, 2006: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershowers in some areas.
