Hizbul terrorists arrested from Madhopur are taken to jail in Gurdaspur on Sunday.

The police here has arrested four persons allegedly linked with the Jammu and Kashmir terrorist group Hizbul Mujahadeen.
The police has recovered 4.5 kg RDX, 2 AK-47 rifles, four magazines and .32 bore pistols from militants hideout in Madhopur.
SSP Gurdaspur Paramraj Singh Umranangal told The Tribune that they had got leads about Jammu and Kashmir terrorists links active in the area from a gang of car thieves busted recently.
Car thieves’ gang in Jammu busted a few days ago gave information regarding the Hizbul terrorists active in the Madhopur area. The SSP said Javed Ahmad Kanwari of Shanpura village near Srinagar was ran Green Valley transport company in the Madhopur area of Gurdaspur with partner Jatinder Prabhakar of Pathankot. The company allegedly used to ferry arms of the Hizbul terrorists.
The police raided the premises of Javed Ahmed Kanwai in Madhopur and recovered arms and ammunition. The raid was conducted after taking the panchayat of Madhopur village into confidence. The panchayat members also told the police that the suspected elements used to visit Javed Ahmed at Madhopur.
Though Javed Ahmad gave the police the slip his three aides including Tahir, Irshad Ahmed Bhat driver of Javed, Jahanir of Jalra village near Srinagar were arrested. The other person arrested in the case is Adil Malik of Jammu.
Those arrested revealed that the cars stolen from Punjab and Haryana areas were used for bomb blasts in the valley. Most of the old cars stolen by the recently busted gang of
thieves led by cop Pardeep Kumar posted in Tarn Taran were sold to Hizbul terrorists who used there for bomb blasts in the valley.Main agents, who purchased the cars stolen from Punjab and further supplied these to terrorists have also been identified. These include owners of Shehzad Peer Motors, Mohamad Multan Motors and Ershad Motors all based in Srinagar.
Most of the stolen cars were sold to Jaffar Iqbal a terrorist running an organization who now has surrendered before the police and Shabir Ahmad and Shafi, commanders of the Hizbul Mujahadeen. Information has been received regarding the stolen vehicles being used by Shabir Ahmad for carrying out bomb blasts in valley.
Information regarding the catch has also been passed to the Jammu and Kashmir police for action.
A case under the Arms Act and other sections of the IPC has been registered against the accused. Investigation into the case was on.
