Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Rajasthan and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Punjab: Nangal 5, Himachal Pradesh: Dhundhi 5, Solangana 3 and Shimla 1, East Rajasthan: Banera 6, Arnod, Kotdi and Pratapgarh 5 each, Bhainsrodgarh, Kachola, Kareda, Shahpura and Shakkargarh 4 each, Bhilwara, Gangdhar, Manoharthana, Gogunda, Vallabhnagar, Chittorgarh and Sheoganj 3 each, Mandal, Bagore, Mandalgarh, Bijolia, Kota, Ladpura, Anta, Chabra, Bakani, Pirawa, Pachpahad, Aktera and Badisar 2 each and Malaknera, Hurda, Paroli, Mokhunda, Phooliakala, Ramganj Mandi, Rawatbhata, Asnawar, Dunger, Sapotra, Udaipur A.P., Kotda Dungla, Nimbahera, Sirohi and Pindwara 1 each, West Rajasthan: Ghadsana and Saila 3 each, Sam, Ramgarh, Danpur, Sadulshahar, Kalayat, Nokha, Luankaransen 2 each and Dungergarh, Khajuwala, Taranagar, Pura, Ghatoal, Bhungra, Jagpura, Kushalgarh, Desuri and Sumerpur 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Kakardharighat 2 and Hamirpur 1, West Uttar Pradesh: Gomatia and Shahjina 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 20: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in east and southwest Rajasthan, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, southwest Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy to very heavy rain is likely at a few places in southeast Rajasthan and at isolated places in northeast and southwest Rajasthan during next 48 hours.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Rainfall activity is likely to increase over Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, north Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal.
