Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Kalka 1, Himachal Pradesh: Kangra 9, Bhang and Shimla 3 each, Rampur Bushahar and Sunibhaji 2 each and Nadaun, Sujanpurtira and Sundernagar 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Katra 2, and Uttaranchal: Bausan 13, Uttarkashi 9, Dehradun 7, Haripur 5 and Tehri 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 4: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Uttar Pradesh and at a few places in the rest of the region except Punjab where it may be isolated. Rainfall activity over Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal is likely to increase after 24 hours.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in east Uttar Pradesh during the next 48 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of August 4: Humid day. Partly cloudy sky becoming mainly cloudy sky towards evening/night with one or two passing showers in some areas.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi: forecast valid until the morning of August 4: Light rain is likely at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
