At least 23 persons, including four women and two children, were killed in a bus accident at Dharasu, in Uttarkashi district of Uttaranchal today.
The bus enroute to Uttarkashi from Dehra Dun, fell into gorge at 2 pm, due to steering failure, at Dharasu, killing 22 passengers, official sources said.
The bodies of 22 passengers were extracted from the accident site. Of the eight injured passengers who were rushed to the district hospital and primary health centre in Uttarkashi one died in the hospital.
