Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in west Rajasthan and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Prasdesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Rampur Bushahar 1 and West Rajasthan: Sriganganagar 4.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose markedly in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, rose appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, rose in west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: This was above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Haryana and Punjab, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43.4°C recorded at Varanasi AP (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 21: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. Isolated dust-storm/thunderstorm is likely in Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 21: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundry development/light rain accompainied with squall in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 40°C.
