Hyderabad, June 10
A history of feuds between two families of a village has resulted in burning alive of 13 persons, including five women and four children, in the neighbouring Mahabubnagar district.

The families of Hanumayya and Kistappa of Polkampalli village in Daulatabad mandal, have a history of enmity, following which the latter was killed three years back. Ashok, son of Hanumayya, was an accused in the case and had recently come out on bail.

On Friday, Ashok along with 40 of his men attacked the house of Kistappa, but his attempt was foiled by the villagers. The mob then torched the house of Hanumayya with the inmates trapped inside, killing 11. The mob also captured two brothers of Ashok and hurled them into raging fire.
