Srinagar, May 22
Even as security forces are on a high alert ahead of the roundtable conference, at least 23 persons, including four police and four security personnel, were injured in three grenade explosions here today.

These grenade explosions took place in Rainawari, Barbarshah and Fateh Kadal areas this afternoon.

At least nine persons, including seven civilians and two police personnel, were injured when militants hurled a grenade at a security picket near Chhati Padshahi, Kathidarwaza in Rainawari area this afternoon.

In another grenade explosion at least seven persons, including five civilians and two police personnel, were injured when militants lobbed a grenade towards a security picket near Baba Dawood Khaki Bridge in Barbarshah area at about 3.15 p.m.

Seven others, including four security personnel and three civilians, were injured in another grenade explosion at the Fatekh Kadal crossing in interior town this afternoon.
