Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Ambala 3, Hisar, Nilokheri and Thanesar 2 each and Karnal 1, Himachal Pradesh: Una 3, Solan 2 and Dharampur and Nahan 1 each; Punjab: Talwandi Bhai 3 and Nangal 1; East Uttar Pradesh: Gorakhpur and Varanasi AP 1 each; and Uttaranchal: Tehri 1.

Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43.6°C recorded at Jhalawar (Rajasthan).
