Heat wave conditions are prevailing in parts of Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh.

Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in East Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Uttaranchal, rose in Himachal Pradesh, fell appreciably in Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were largely above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, largely below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 47.2°C recorded at Hisar (Haryana).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 16: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in Jammu and Kashmir.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 16: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Duststorm/thunderstorm accompanied with squall is likely in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 40°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of May 16: Duststorm/thunderstorm is likely at a few places. Squall with wind speed exceeding 65 kmph is likely at isolated places.
