Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. Banihal (Jammu and Kashmir) has recorded 1 cm of rainfall.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Rajasthan, fell in Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 40.8°C recorded at Allahabad (uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 13, 2006: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
