3 pc hike in DA for Punjab staff

Chandigarh, April 10
The Punjab Government today granted dearness allowance at the rate of 3 per cent to its employees and pensioners from January 1, 2006, on basic pay plus dearness pay and basic pension plus dearness pension.

The DA has been given on the Union Government pattern which had raised it to 24 per cent from 21 per cent for its employees.

A senior state government officer said DA would be paid in cash to the employees and pensioners from January 1 this year.
