Leaders glorified, martyrs neglected
Posters of political parties disfigure the pedestal of the statue of Gadar martyr Kartar Singh Sarabha in Ludhiana.Ludhiana, March 20
Forget martyrs and please political bosses. This seems to be the mantra of the administration if one compares the condition of statues of national heroes and lifesize hoardings of various political leaders installed at various places in the city. While no stone is left unturned to spruce up posters of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and AICC chief Sonia Gandhi, the statues of the martyrs are left for defacers and vagaries of the nature.
