Mumbai , March 11
Acting on a tip-off from alert passengers, the anti-terrorist squad of the Mumbai Police recovered a crude bomb at the Byculla railway station in Central Mumbai this morning.
The police said, the caller informed of a package stored in the men’s toilet of the Byculla railway
station. The squad which rushed to the spot with a sniffer dog recovered the package which was then exploded at the Girgaum Chowpatty beach nearby.
The police said the crude bomb was left in the toilet for several hours. Fragments of the exploded bomb has been sent to the forensic laboratory for examination, the police
said.
