Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Dhundh 3 and Solangnala 1.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, fell in Punjab, east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan, above normal in west Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 5°C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of January 22: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
