Haryana Cabinet expansion today

Chandigarh, January 13
The stage is set for the first expansion of the Bhupinder Singh Hooda Cabinet. The new Ministers will be administered the oath of office and secrecy by the Governor, Dr A.R. Kidwai, at Haryana Raj Bhavan at 1.30 p.m. tomorrow.

Heavy security arrangements have been made for the swearing-in ceremony in view of the past experience when the crowd could not be controlled, putting the guests to inconvenience.

After the new Ministers are sworn in, the Chief Minister will also administer the oath of office and secrecy to a few MLAs as Chief Parliamentary Secretary and Parliamentary Secretary. Though the exact number of new Ministers, Chief Parliamentary Secretaries and Parliamentary Secretaries is not yet known, sources say the authorities have been told to make arrangements for 11 cars and 11 rooms in the Civil Secretariat.
