Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh) has recorded 20 mm of rainfall.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperature fell appreciably in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, fell in Himachal Pradesh and east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were appreciably below normal in west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, below normal in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and east Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1.6°C recorded at Churu and Pilani (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 26, 2005: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 26, 2005: Mainly clear sky. Fog till forenoon. The minimum temperature will be around 5°C.
