Wipro setting base in IT Park

After having been allotted 40 acres of land in Industrial Area, Mohali, Wipro is now looking at the possibility of setting base in the Chandigarh Information Technology Park. Representatives of the IT giant have identified 20 acres of land in the IT Park in case they decide to set up base here.

Disabled Army officer waits for a promised plot

Thirty years after an Army officer applied for a plot in Shimla, he has found, to his utter dismay, that the plot which he was allotted no longer exists.

The site where a plot was allocated to Lieut-Col H.S Jarg was on the extreme left of a row of buildings. As is evident, there is no vacant plot adjacent to the bend on the road where construction can be carried out.

Decision on modernisation of dhobi ghats deferred
