Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures rose in west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: This was appreciably below normal in Punjab, below normal in Haryana and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1.9°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of 9th December 2005: Rain/snow is likely at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
