Bomb scare in BSE: teacher held

Mumbai, November 20
A government school teacher from Jalgaon, 650 km from here, was arrested today for threatening to blow up the Bombay Stock Exchange shortly after the extradition of gangster Abu Salem to India.

The police said Rahul Omkar Sonar, a teacher employed with the village primary school at Varangaon, had sent the email threatening to blow up the Bombay Stock Exchange yesterday in an effort to hammer down prices in the market. Sonar, who traded in shares in his spare time, hoped to make a quick buck when the market recovered. — TNS
