3 more held for Delhi blasts

New Delhi, November 15
Three persons are understood to have been detained in Srinagar by the Delhi police in connection with the serial blasts in the Capital.

A team of the Delhi police picked them up over the last three days on the basis of leads provided by Tariq Ahmed Dar, the alleged Lashker-e-Toiba militant, who masterminded the October 29 serial blasts and was arrested on November 10, sources said today.

While Hanief Ahmed Dar was detained from the Kawdara area in downtown Srinagar on Sunday, Imtiaz Ahmed was held from the Chanpora area in the city yesterday, the sources said. The identity of the third man was not known.

The three had been taken to Delhi for further questioning. However, senior officials of the Delhi police’s special cell, which is conducting the investigation, were tightlipped about the entire episode. — PTI
