Ban extended on 6 bodies

New Delhi, November 3
The Cabinet today extended the ban on six Manipuri underground organisations for two more years and also decided to raise 25 new battalions of India Reserve Police, which would be deployed in Naxalite affected states, Jammu and Kashmir, and the Northeast.

The outlawed organisations whose ban has been extended include, Revolutionary People’s Front of Manipur, United National Liberation Front (UNLF), PREPAK (People’s Revolution Party of Kanglipak), KYKL (Kangli Yawoi Kanna Lup) and KLF (Kuki Liberation Front). — TNS
