CEC refutes UPA charge of being biased

Patna, October 28
The Chief Election Commissioner, Mr B.B.Tandon, today refuted the charges levelled against the commission by the UPA of being biased in dealing with a particular party or individual related to Bihar poll as “baseless”.

Talking to the media here today, Mr Tandon strongly defended the adviser to the EC, Mr K.J. Rao, for his commendable job.

He brushed aside the allegation against Mr Rao by the UPA that he was acting as an “extra-constituional authority”.

Mr Tandon was here today to review the preparations in 11districts which will go to the polls in the third phase on November 13.
