Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: East Uttar Pradesh: Bahraich 7 and Gorakhpur 3.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperature changed little.

Departure: It was normal over the region. The highest temperature in the region was 35.8°C recorded at Barmer and Churu (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperature fell in Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: It was appreciably below normal in Punjab, below normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh; above normal in Haryana; and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 11.5°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).
