Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttarnchal, at a few places in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amount of rainfall in cm. are: Jammu and Kashmir: Basoli and Patti 1 each, Punjab: Tibri 1, East Rajasthan: Jhunjhunu 2, East Uttar Pradesh: Kakardharighat and Palliakalan 2 each and Sultanpur 1, West Uttar Pradesh: Bareilly 4, Moradabad 3 and Dabri 1 and Uttaranchal: Banbasa 12, Mukteshwar 11, Pantnagar 8, Haridwar 4, Marora, Tehri and Uttarkashi 3 each, Dehradun, Rishikesh and Srinagar 2 each and Joshimath 1.
