Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Punjab: Madhopur and Shahpurkandi 4 each, east Rajasthan: Bhim 9, Devgarh 6, Rajasammand 5, Amet 4, Pindwara and Shahpura 3 each, Deval, Jawaja, Kanva and Udaipur AP 2 each and Tatgarh 1, west Rajasthan: Jaisalmer and Sam 2 each and Uttaranchal: Bosan and Haripur 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 10: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of September 10: Generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershowers in some areas.
