Haryana raises interim relief to Gohana victims

New Delhi, September 4
Haryana today decided to enhance interim relief to Rs 50,000 for each affected family in Gohana, pending the assessment of compensation to be paid for the loss of property and articles damaged in the town recently.

The decision was taken after a delegation consisting of elders and members of the affected families met Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here, an official press note of the state government said.

It was also decided that Commissioner, Rohtak Division, N.C. Wadhwa will supervise the relief, rehabilitation and restoration works that were being undertaken for the affected families in Gohana, the press note said.
