Rainfall: Rain-thundershowers occurred at many places in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in East Rajasthan and at isolated places in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Dharamsala 4 and Bangana 1, East Rajasthan: Kaman 5, Rajakhera 4, Kotkasim and Sapau 3 each, Deeg, Dholpur and Roopwas 2 each and Bharatpur, Kishangarh and Laxmangarh 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Bahraich and Varanasi city 8 each, Kakardharighat and Mirzapur 4 each, Hamirpur 3, Ballia, Basti, Bhinga, Dalmau, Kakrahi, Kataerniaghat and Phaphamau 2 each and Allahabad, Chhatnag, Lucknow, Mohana, Neemsar and Palliakalan 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Mathura 8, Kalpi 7, Hindan 5, Shahjina 3, Agra and Auraiya 2 each and Etawah 1 and Uttaranchal: Pantnagar 9, Dehra Dun 7, Kalagarh 4, Hardwar, Rishikesh, Srinagar and Uttarkashi 2 each and Joshimath and Rudraprayag 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 22: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and east Rajasthan and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in west Rajasthan.
