Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have been reported most places in Haryana, at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in west Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Chandigarh and New Delhi (Palam) 7 each, Kalka 2 and Delhi Ridge and Tajewala 1 each; Himachal Pradesh: Khairi 5, Berthin, Kahu, Kasauli and Paonta 3 each and Kasol, Shimla, Sundernagar, Sunibhaji and Tissa 1 each; Jammu and Kashmir: Basoli 7 and Bhoond 2; Punjab: Ludhiana 5, Amritsar 3, Ranjitsagar Dam 2 and Balachaur, Madhopur, Nangal, Shahpur Kandi and Tibri 1 each; east Rajasthan: Kishangarh 8, Choth Ka Barwara 7, Arai 5, Jahazpur 4, Ajmer, Aligarh, Bonli, Hindaun, Kishanganj, Malpura, Makrana, Niwai, Nimbahera, Roopwas, Sawai Madhopur, Sarwar, Shahbad and Todaraisingh 3 each, Bharatpur, Devli, Hindoli, Indergarh, Mangral, Nainwa, Nasirabad, Pushkar, Phagi, Pipalda and Vijaynagar 2 each and Dausa, Dholpur, Kota and Tonk 1 each; east Uttar Pradesh: Chillaghat and Katerniaghat 2 each and Birdghat, Chhatnag, Fatehpur, Hamirpur, Mohana and Raebareli 1 each; west Uttar Pradesh: Jhansi and Sarsawa 6 each, Bareilly and Kalpi 2 each and Agra, Mathura, Narora and Shahjina 1 each; and Uttaranchal: Uttarkashi 4, Dehra Dun and Kalagarh 3 each, Pantnagar 2 and Joshimath and Marora 1 each.
