3 bombers were UK nationals of Pak origin

London, July 13
The police said today three of the four bombers who carried out last week’s London blasts were British nationals of Pakistan origin, raising the prospect that western Europe may have suffered its first suicide attack.

The identity of the fourth suspect, however, is still unclear. Peter Clarke, head of the anti-terrorist branch of the London’s Metropolitan Police identified the three suspects as Mohammed Sidique Khan, Hasib Hussain and Shehzad Tanweer. The trio came from West Yorkshire in northern England, an area with a large Muslim population of South-Asian origin.

Khan, the father of an eight-month-old baby and who is believed to have come from the Leeds area, planted the bomb at Edgware Road. Hussain, 19, bombed the bus in Tavistock Square of Colenso Mount, Leeds, while Tanweer, 22, who lived at Colwyn Road, Leeds, was the Aldgate bomber.

The police fears there could be more suicide attacks.
