Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. Solangnala (Himachal Pradesh) has recorded 1 cm. of rainfall.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, rose in Himachal Pradesh and east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in west Uttar Pradesh and markedly below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 45°C recorded at Varanasi AP (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 3: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
