Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir, at a few places in Punjab and at isolated places in west Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Jammu and Kashmir: Pahalgam 2 and Banihal 1 and West Rajasthan: Sriganganagar 1.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, fell in west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: The temperatures were above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably below normal in east Utar Pradesh, below normal in Punjab, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in rest of the region. The maximum temperature in the region was 42.6C recorded at Jhalawar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 11: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, at a few places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorms are likely in west Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 11: Partly cloudy sky with dust haze. The maximum temperature will be around 39°C.
