Ban on Muslim body extended

New Delhi, May 6
The government has extended by another two years the ban on fundamentalist organisation ‘Deendar Anjuman’ for allegedly indulging in anti-national activities.

The ban on the organisation, pre-dominant in the southern parts of the country, lapsed on April 26.

Official sources said the government felt that the organisation was trying to reorganise and create disturbances in the country. It was distributing objectionable ‘anti-Christian’ literature and pamphlets and indulging in espionage. — UNI
