37 board bus to Muzaffarabad
Tribune News Service

Srinagar, May 5
On its third run after the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service on April 7, 37 persons boarded “Karavan-e-Aman” here this morning to the LoC, for the journey to Muzaffarabad. Tight security arrangements were taken for the smooth run of the bus carrying passengers to and from the LoC in view of the threats and stepped up violence across the valley.

Those who boarded the bus here today included 24 on their first trip to PoK to meet their relatives across the LoC, and 13 others who were returning to PoK after meeting their relatives here.

Sources here said a total of 42 passengers arrived here from Muzaffarabad. They included 27 on their first trip, while 15 others were on their return journey, who had left here for Muzaffarabad last month.

The first historic bus was flagged off here by the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, and the UPA chairperson, Ms Sonia Gandhi, on April 7 amid tight security arrangements.
