Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, appreciably below normal in Punjab and Uttaranchal, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 38.7°C recorded at Varanasi AP (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 13: Isolated rain/thundershowers are likely in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
