Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) has recorded 1 cm. of rainfall.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, fell in Punjab, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, markedly below normal in Himachal Pradesh and west Rajasthan, appreciably below normal in Haryana and east Rajasthan, below normal in Punjab. West Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 40.8°C recorded at Varanasi AP (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 12: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
