Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, above normal in Haryana, Punjab and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 41.5°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 7: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorms are likely in west Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 7: Mainly clear sky likely to become partly cloudy towards evening/night with possibility of thundry development/light rain accompanied with squall in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 35°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of April 7: Light rain is likely at a few places. Squall with wind speed exceeding 65 km. ph is likely at isolated places.
