Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose markedly in Himachal Pradesh, rose appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were normal over the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 37.8°C recorded at Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell in west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were above normal in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 11.6°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 31: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 31: Mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 33°C and 18°C respectively.
