Forensic experts record crime scene at Park
Plaza Ludhiana, March 6 The team spent several hours in the hotel and video-filmed the scene of crime in room no 114 with special focus on the hole in the windowpane, besides other possibilities of recording the movements inside the room with a camera. Meanwhile, the two accused, Dharminder and Sangam, arrested yesterday were remanded in police custody till March 9 on the plea of the police that it wanted to recover the camera allegedly used in the crime. With this all the four accused nabbed so far were in police custody till March 9. The other two, Parminder and Raju Sahni, were remanded yesterday. The team of experts headed by Deputy Directors, Dr H.P. Singh and Dr D. Mishra, did not talk to the accused or the victims. Their focus remained on the room in the hotel. Besides, they also examined other rooms where holes were found in the windowpanes. The arrival of the team had come as a surprise as the local police had already got the scene examined from local forensic experts. Mr R.K. Jaiswal, SP (City-I), said the team had come on a specific request of the police only as they wanted a probe from an independent agency. The experts did not disclose any findings to the waiting media persons. They said they would analyse the scene of crime frame by frame with the help of the video recording they had made of the room and other places in the hotel. The experts were specially concentrating on the hole in the windowpane. There have been allegations that the hole was being used for videofilming or for peeping into the room. The hotel management was, however, stressing that the holes were Allan keys. |
